Frequently Asked Questions

General questions I'm often asked:

Q: What kinds of books do you like to read?

A:  The best way to describe my reading material is eclectic. I enjoy good literature from various periods: middle ages, renaissance, and contemporary. I enjoy reading European fiction, mostly from Italy and Germany, but equally enjoy reading a mix of nonfiction, such as memoirs, biographies, and current affairs books.

Q: What are some of your favorite authors?

A:  Alexandre Dumas, Giovanni Bocaccio, Anais Nin, Dan Mahoney, Alice Sebold, Allison Dubois, Anne Rice, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Oscar Wilde, Nikolai Vasilievich Gogol, and many, many others.

Q: What is your connection to the author, Anais Nin?

A:  My ancestry is European, mostly from various parts of Spain, including the Catalan and Rioja regions. My great-great grandparents are Anais Nin’s grandparents, and my great-grandmother, Rosa Nin, was Anais’ aunt.  Anais Nin and I are cousins! Knowing this has inspired me to write my memoirs and other nonfiction works. We share the same ancestry as well as the passion for writing about our adventures.

Q: Why did you decide to write?

A:  I have too much to tell. I feel passionate about what has happened in my life and surroundings and want to share my incredible experiences with the reader.

Q: Which of your stories is your favorite and why?

A: It is hard to say which one is my favorite because I enjoyed writing about them all.

Q: If a fan has a great idea for a book, will you read it or write it?

A:  I have too many book ideas for myself and would not have the time to accept anyone else’s works. I encourage my fans and other writers to follow their dream and do the research themselves on any of their writing works and ideas. They will discover that the initial phase of turning their idea into the written word is quite an adrenaline rush.

Q: What are your long-term plans for writing?

A:  I plan to continue writing both fiction and nonfiction. Writing has become a part of my daily life and I never run out of ideas or exciting topics to bring to fruition.
