frankfurt_book_fair_logoThe Frankfurt Book Fair 2009 (http://www.frankfurt-book-fair.com/en/fbf/) was held in Frankfurt, Germany from October 14th through the 18th. Since 1949, the annual fair has become one of the world’s largest book expo’s attracting over 100 countries, more than 7,000 exhibitors, nearly 10,000 media professionals and about 300,000 visitors. It is “the place to be” if you’re involved in any way with the world of publishing. It’s a great opportunity to get the latest news about new authors and books, and to keep up with the technological advances in the industry. This year the book fair’s guest of honor was China, opening the way to many new opportunities with Asian publishers, authors, booksellers, and distributors.

My book, Think Twice Before Crossing: a Memoir, was featured by Deanna Leah of International Publishers Alliance/HBG Productions at an exhibit booth at the Franfurt Book Fair 2009. As it turns out, my book was well received by the attendees at the fair, both the professionals and the general public. Who knows? Maybe the exposure at the fair will result in foreign rights.

Check out my book on the second shelf from the top on the right side of the picture...and that’s Deanna smiling. It’s great to see my book on display.
